Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use WildlifeChase.com, its maps, downloads and guides.

By using WildlifeChase.com (“the site”) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Informational use only

The site provides general information about National Wildlife Refuges, Waterfowl Production Areas and related public lands, based on public government datasets. It is not legal advice and is not an official source of regulations. Hunting and fishing rules, boundaries, closures and permit requirements can change at any time. You are solely responsible for knowing and following all applicable federal, state, tribal and local laws, posted signs and refuge-specific regulations.

2. No warranty

The site and all maps, downloads (KML, GPX, GeoJSON), calculations (such as sunrise, sunset and shooting hours) and other content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Boundaries are approximations and may not match the ground.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WildlifeChase and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages — including citations, fines, injury, property damage or trespass claims — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site.

4. Outdoor safety

Hunting, boating and other outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Use proper safety equipment, follow hunter-safety practices, check weather and water conditions, and tell someone your plans.

5. Content and data

Underlying government data (for example from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Geological Survey) is in the public domain. The site's original text, design, charts and compilation are © 2026 WildlifeChase. You may link to any page and share short excerpts with attribution. You may download map files for personal, non-commercial use. Automated bulk copying of the site is not permitted.

6. Third-party services and advertising

The site uses third-party services such as map tile providers (USGS, Esri, OpenStreetMap), the National Weather Service API, Google Fonts and advertising partners such as Google. Their content and practices are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. See our privacy policy for details. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we don't control or endorse them.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date below shows the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised terms.
