About WildlifeChase
Who we are and how WildlifeChase turns official USFWS data into practical public-land hunting maps and guides.
WildlifeChase is an independent guide to hunting and fishing on America's National Wildlife Refuges and Waterfowl Production Areas. We take the official open datasets published by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — hunt units, hunting and fishing opportunities, refuge boundaries and land tracts — and turn them into pages hunters can actually use in the field.

- 606 refuge and station guides with 2026–2027 hunt-unit maps, species, permits, fishing and directions.
- 2,215 hunt units colored by status, with KML/GPX downloads for GPS and mapping apps.
- 3,251 Waterfowl Production Areas with satellite maps, acreage and nearby tracts.

Our principles
- Official data first. Everything factual comes from government sources, credited on the data sources page.
- Clear about limits. Maps are a planning tool — signs on the ground, hunt brochures and state regulations always take precedence.
- Free and private. No accounts, no tracking cookies. Your location, when you share it, never leaves your browser.
