Hunting at Bowdoin NWR

Permitted hunting categories are waterfowl, upland birds, migratory birds, and small game, subject to state seasons and refuge-specific rules. A refuge permit is required for at least some activities, in addition to your state license.

The cattails and bulrushes around the wetlands of Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge provide nesting and cover for waterfowl, and in the fall they also provide perfect cover for pheasant.
