Hunting at Port Louisa NWR

Hunters can pursue big game, waterfowl, wild turkey, upland birds, migratory birds, small game, and feral & exotic here, subject to state seasons and refuge-specific rules. Fishing is available — freshwater fishing.

Located along the Upper Mississippi River, Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge, the northernmost refuge of the Mark Twain complex, is extensively managed to improve habitat conditions for waterfowl and many other species of wildlife.
