Hunting at Morgan Brake NWR

Permitted hunting categories are big game, waterfowl, migratory birds, small game, and feral & exotic, subject to state seasons and refuge-specific rules. Fishing is available — freshwater fishing. A refuge permit is required for at least some activities, in addition to your state license.

Fishing is offered year-round in refuge waters, except during the muzzleloader deer hunt. Providence ponds, north of the refuge office, are closed one day prior to the beginning of waterfowl season through March 1.
